"Delegation of powers in customs matters" and "Shipper/RDE relations

On 9 June 2021, Gaspard de BELLESCIZE led a conference for the members of a professional business federation on the subject of delegation of powers in customs matters. A fascinating subject, at the crossroads of criminal, civil and social law, which enabled us to distinguish the conditions under which "customs powers of attorney", "customs representation mandate" and other "powers" constituted genuine "delegations of authority" enabling the delegator to escape his criminal customs liability, "transferred" to one of his employees. 

We have also dealt with the subject of the relationship between shippers and RDEs, from the point of view of the contractual relationship and the recourse between parties.
